We accept donations of food, personal items and money. We also collect used ink cartridges and egg cartons. Each used ink cartridge provides $3 towards our office supplies and we use a lot of paper, ink, etc. The egg cartons are washed and used to distributed donated eggs that have been cleaned and sorted.
Food and personal item donations should be brought to the office, located at 602 East 4th Street, Russellville, during normal business hours. If you need to come at some other time or need the food picked up, please call us to set up an appointment. (270-725-9002)
Ink cartridges and egg cartons may also be dropped off at the office during normal business hours.
Monetary donations should be mailed to: Logan County Good Samaritan PO Box 1602 Russellville, KY 42276
Monetary donations may also be dropped off during normal business hours. To maintain confidentiality of your donation, be sure to place your check in an envelope.
Give a unique gift of a donation in honor of some-one or a memorial donation in memory of some-one. Just tell us what the donation is for and where you would like an acknowledgement sent.
You may designate your donation to purchase food. To do so, just write “Food” on your check! Also, during March and April we participate in the Feinstein Challenge to raise donations for the food pantry. Click here to learn more.
During January of each year, we mail out letters to each of our monetary donors with a total of their donations for the previous year for tax purposes. Should you need a letter for non-cash donations, please see the director.
We do not waste our donations on excessive mailings. Our donors receive a yearly acknowledgement of donation amounts for tax purposes. Once every year or two, we mail out a newsletter updating our donors on what has been happening. |
